Faces in the Crowd starring Milla Jovovich was filmed right here in Winnipeg! Winnipeg-based company, Frantic Films, are also one of the producers for the movie.
Filming took place May – June 2010. There are a lot of great shots of the Provencher Bridge 20 seconds into the trailer. Looks like a lot of people are going to have second thoughts about crossing the bridge at night. Downtown Winnipeg is also obvious throughout the teaser.
An elementary school teacher Anna Marchant (Jovovich) is attacked by a serial killer and survives, but is left to struggle with a neurological disorder known as “face-blindness.” Only able to recognize voices, she fights to adapt to her condition and the ever-changing faces of those around her. Working with Detective Kerrest (McMahon), Anna races to identify her attacker, who is determined to eliminate his potential witness.
It doesn’t look like this movie is making it to theatres. First Look Studios will be releasing it to DVD and Blu-ray on October 25, 2011.
