Computer Boulevard located on 1250 Saint James St. will be closing up shop for good before the end of the year. At one point, it was the go-to place for computer peripherals in Winnipeg – but with big box stores such as Staples, Future Shop, and Best Buy providing more products at very competitive prices, it has been tough for them to remain in business.
Also, Memory Express recently opened up just down the street at 730 Century St. Memory Express offers a 25% price match, where they’ll beat any Canadian advertised price (local or online – including Computer Boulevard) by 25%!
I’ve never been a fan of Computer Boulevard. The prices were great, but the service was terrible. However, it’s a shame to see another local store hit the dust. They do operate an online store and perhaps the focus will remain on there. [WINNIPEG HEIGHTS]
