McDonald’s Canada has never kept any secrets. They will answer any question you throw at them… even how to make the Big Mac’s special sauce. So when asked about their Chicken McNuggets and the myth that they’re made of pink goop, they opened up their doors and let cameras record the factory they’re made in.

McDonalds uses real chicken breast and a natural proportion of chicken skin used for flavor and as a binder. This video shows a behind-the-scenes look at the McDonalds Canada supplier facility in London, Ontario.

If you had any doubts on what goes into a McNugget, you can now see for yourself. Here’s another video showing the exact cuts they use to make the nuggets. They display a few techniques to de-bone a chicken that you can use at home to make your own nuggets.

Here is McDonalds Canada’s official ingredient list:

Chicken breast, water, modified corn starch, salt, seasoning [yeast extract, salt, wheat starch, natural flavour (vegetable source), safflower oil, dextrose, citric acid, rosemary], natural extractives of rosemary, breaded with: water, wheat flour, yellow corn flour, modified corn starch, spices, salt, baking powder, dextrose, wheat starch, corn starch, modified hydrogenated soybean oil, cooked in 100% vegetable oil [canola oil, corn oil, soybean oil, hydrogenated soybean oil (TBHQ), citric acid, dimethylpolysiloxane]. Now that that’s out of the way… lets bring back the Fan Pack!
