The Public Utilities Board (PUB) has approved Centra Gas’s application to decrease the current Primary Gas rate from $0.1665/m3 to $0.1252/m3 effective February 1, 2015.

Back in November 2014, Centra increased rates 5% from $0.1551/m3 to $0.1665/m3. The increase was to help Centra recover $23.3 million of the $46.7 million Centra spent when Manitoba saw the third coldest Winter in over 100 years.

Residential customers are expected to save around $50/year. Primary Gas rates will be reviewed again May 1, 2015.
