Winter Park Amenities

Include: skating ponds, neighbourhood pleasure rinks, toboggan slides, hills and cross country ski trails.

Tobogganing
Kildonan Park, Waterfront Drive, Bunn’s Creek Park, St. Vital Park, Crescent Drive Park and Fraser’s Grove Park will have their toboggan slides open to the public for the holidays. Toboggan hills will open when there is enough snow. For more information visit City of Winnipeg – Toboggan Hills and Slides in Winnipeg Parks

Skating
Visit the sparkling new St. Vital Duck Pond Pavilion and enjoy the view of the skating pond and the little tots hill or toast some chestnuts on the embers of the Ecobuage Bonfire Pit.

This year, as construction is taking place at the Peguis Pavilion Pond in Kildonan Park, the skating rink will be located next to the toboggan slides. Benches and picnic tables will be located around the rink. Washrooms are available on the lower level of the Peguis Pavilion. Parking along the roadway is permitted.

There are over 40 pleasure skating rinks in neighbourhood parks. Find one near you: visit City of Winnipeg – Park Skating Ponds.

Cross Country Skiing
Winter conditions have not been favourable for ski-trail tracking, but will be available when there is enough snow at Kildonan Park, Harbourview, St. Vital Park, La Barriere Park, and Living Prairie Museum. Visit City of Winnipeg – Cross Country Ski Trails for updates.

Park Trails
Enjoy a refreshing walk in the winter wonderland. Visit your City of Winnipeg Regional Parks.
