The 2015 Red River Co-Op Patronage Return cheques are in the mail!
In 2014, the company saw annual sales of over $653 million and a net profit of more than $44 million.
With the acquisition of 4 former Safeway stores last year, the board approved the following return rates:
- 6.65% on fuel purchases (average of 8 cents per litre)
- 5% on pharmacy purchases
- 1% on food purchases
This year, 229,570 cheques totaling $36 million will be sent to its members in Winnipeg and surrounding communities. The average cheque will be $159.78!
The cheques are coming in later than usual. The change in distribution from previous years was due to Red River Co-op’s year-end being moved up a week, and also a change to their auditing process.
