Westbound lanes on Portage Avenue between Strathcona Street and Tylehurst Street will be closed starting Friday, June 26 at 6:00pm until Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at 6:00pm.
Two-way traffic on Portage Avenue will be accommodated on the south half of Portage Avenue using the three eastbound lanes between Strathcona Street and Tylehurst Street. Two lanes will be maintained in the eastbound direction and one lane in the westbound direction.
These closures are required to accommodate utility and road works at the Empress Street Underpass associated with the ongoing road rehabilitation project on Portage Avenue.
Pedestrian access will be maintained.
Motorists are reminded to allow additional travel time and to use alternate routes in this area to reach their destinations.
