Manitoba Forest Fires Force Evac To Winnipeg

The dry season has devastated northern Manitoba forests. Four of the six fires are now considered out of control. A big fight is being pushed to save the northern town of Sherridon. What’s awesome about all this, is that more than 300 figherfighters have joined forces. While the actual problem is nothing to feel great about, I get this awesome feeling knowing we’ve got that many people working together. How even in our darkest moments, we can unite and make a huge difference. Like Voltron.

According to CBC, roughly 200 people (including babies), have been evacuated to Portage la Prairie and Winnipeg in fear of health concerns related to the heavy smoke from the fires. Daily life won’t be normal for these families for a while. Hit read more for details.
