eBay to Release Seller Information to Tax Authorities

Ebay Explained 2006 (KLCC) Originally uploaded by liewcf

eBay Canada is ready to release revenue and tax information to ‘big brother’ for power sellers across Canada.

Earlier this week, eBay Canada sent out a letter to affected customers. “While eBay strenuously objects to these requests made by the CRA, we are obliged to comply with the legal ruling,”

It is estimated that 32,000 Canadians make all or some of their profit on eBay – and big brother wants a piece of it.

I am not going to lie, eBay has some HUGE potential and I don’t doubt at all that some Canadians can gross $30k + a year in sales.

A few things that have been big on eBay recently is selling Canadian exclusives like the Steelbook Blu-rays they offer Exclusively at Futureshop and nowhere else in North America.
