What’s there to do on New Year’s Day 2009? Almost nothing!
As I am writing this it is snowing pretty bad outside… which pretty much limits any outdoor activities if it continues.
Closed Malls:
Garden City Shopping Centre
Kildonan Place
Portage Place
St. Vital Centre
Polo Park Shopping Centre
All City of Winnipeg civic offices are closed
No Recycling/Garbage Collection
Winnipeg Transit will be operating on a Sunday schedule
All libraries are closed
Assiniboine Park Conservatory Open 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
All swimming pools are closed
All Leisure Centers are closed
The Animal Services Agency is closed
To sum it all up… almost EVERYTHING is closed. However, movie theatres remain open on New Year’s Day. Does anyone have any other suggestions on what to do on New Year’s Day?
