The city released further details on Winnipeg’s first IKEA opening at the corner of Sterling Lyon Parkway and Kenaston Boulevard.
It is going to be huge. Bigger than Polo Park, but smaller than Mall of America.
The city expects there to be 36-thousand unique visits on a given Saturday. Sterling Lyon Parkway and Kenaston Boulevard will have to be widened to support the heavier traffic flow. The lot will require 75-hundred parking spots.
Aside from an IKEA opening at the corner, there’s also expected to be a hotel, movie theatre and other outdoor stores.
