What’s Open and Closed on Good Friday

Don’t forget Winnipeg, tonight is the busiest bar night of the year so make sure to do what you got to do early!

Open: Movie Theatres
There is no doubt in my mind that the biggest thing to do on Good Friday will be Clash of the Titans in 3D. All theatres are open Good Friday and after Avatar, everyone is hungry for more amazing 3D movies. Clash of the Titans should be just as big as amazing as Avatar was.

Closed: Malls
Most retail businesses and malls will be closed on Good Friday.

Open: The Zoo
The Assiniboine Park Zoo will be open from 10:00am – 4:00pm

Open: Winnipeg Transit
Winnipeg Transit will operate on a Sunday schedule on Good Friday.

Open: Restaurants
Most restaurants will be open on Good Friday.

Closed: Bars/Lounges
Dining rooms are permitted to serve liquor with meals between 12:00pm and 2:00am but all other licensed places can not serve liquor on Good Friday unless approved by the MLCC. So make sure to get all your partying done tonight.

Garbage and Recycling will not be collected on Good Friday or Easter Monday. It will resume on Tuesday, Day 3 on the cycle.
