According to Statistics Canada, Winnipeg is still the Crime Capital of Canada (per capita).
For every 1,000 Manitobans, 175 reported being a victim of a violent crime. The national average is 118 reports per thousand people.
This seems to continue to be a title we can’t shake off. Hopefully the new cadet program, and a new police chopper will help make our streets safer.
