Apple Introduces FaceTime for Mac

Apple introduced FaceTime for Mac yesterday at their Back to Mac Press Event. They also revealed iLife 11, Mac OSX Lion, and a new version of the MacBook Air.

If you aren’t familiar with FaceTime, it started off on the iPhone 4 that allowed video calling between two iPhones. They recently also added two cameras to the iPod Touch and allowed FaceTime calls on the iPod as well. Now Apple is expending the brand even further by adding FaceTime calls to any Mac!

FaceTime for Mac is available now and can be downloaded for free at Apple.com. Mac computers can call other Mac computers, iPods, or iPhones. iPod/iPhones must be running iOS 4.1 to accept FaceTime calls from a Mac.
