Statistics Canada reports that only 15% off Canadians meet the minimum recommended standard exercise each week.
Canadian guidelines recommend adults exercise at least 150 minutes a week to stay healthy. Children 5 – 17 years old should exercise at least 60 minutes a day.
I do believe that our winter weather has a lot to do with this statistic. The sharp cold has a lot of us staying home all season and resorting to the television all evening.
