25th Lac du Bonnet Canada Day Celebrations July 1st-3rd

This year to commemorate the 25th year of the fireworks, the display will be even more spectacular than usual. The Themed “Light up the Night,” the show will be preceded by a boat parade.

The first fireworks in 1987 had 125 shots in their display at a cost of $1,700. Today approximately 6,100 shots are fired and the budget has increased to $30,000. The fireworks are now choreographed to music and can be heard on a speaker system in the town beach area. The Lions Club does not pay for the fireworks, rather donations from businesses, organizations and individuals pay for the display.

Celebrations take place July 1st-3rd.
