There has been a lot of discussion on if the new NHL team will be a Winnipeg team or a Manitoba team.
But it looks like the NHL just indirectly leaked that the team name will be the Winnipeg Somethings and not the Manitoba Somethings.
They NHL.com Network, which is used to create pages for all the different teams in the NHL, has opened up http://winnipeg.nhl.com.
Of course this is still all speculation, and True North can very easily use Manitoba in the team name if they wish.
