The good news? The Winnipeg Jets, MTS Centre, and new logo will all be in the EA Sports NHL 12 video game on launch day! Bad news, the Jerseys won’t.
NHL 12 hits stores September 13, 2011 but EA Sports has confirmed that the Winnipeg Jets jersey will not make the disc. The jerseys will be available with the first online roster update which has yet to receive a date. Traditionally, the first roster update happens within a week or so of the first night of the NHL regular season, so expect to see the jerseys available in early October.
A leaked screenshot of the actual NHL 12 game is above. You’ll notice that the Jets players have the black generic NHL Jersey. Let’s hope the retro Jets jerseys are available as well!
