The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have clinched first place in the East Division which means there will be another game at the Canad Inns Stadium! This marks the first time since 2001 that the Bombers have topped the East Division.

It didn’t come easily. The Bombers and the Montreal Alouettes came into the final week of the CFL season with identical 10-7 records and tied for first. Both teams suffered a loss which left them tied (10-8 record final season record). Since the Bombers won the season series between the two, they got the nod for first place in the East.

Being in first, the Blue Bombers will get a by during the first round of playoffs and host the East finals at home on Sunday, November 20, 2011. They will play of the winner between the Montreal Alouettes and Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Kick off is slated for noon.
