According to data collected by Royal Bank, Canadians will spend an average of $640 during the 2011 Holiday Season.
Specifically in Manitoba, 88% of consumers plan to give gifts and spend an average of $686. This number is up $100 from last years average.
That number is about par to my average.. but this year, my family has decided to do a ‘gift exchange’ to relax the pockets a bit. If you find yourself having to purchase gifts for a large family… perhaps you’d want to exercise the gift exchange idea! [WINNIPEG FREE PRESS]
