Not to be outdone by Assiniboine Park, Downtown Winnipeg Biz will be lighting up Memorial Park as a free outdoor movie theatre every Tuesday night in August.
They will feature movie selections from the 30s, 70s and even the 80s:
August 7: Hairspray
August 14: Footloose
August 21: Wizard of Oz
August 28: Grease
In the event of rain, the screenings will take place the next day (Wednesday). Pre-movie activities will include a vintage car show, hair-do contest, dance contest, live entertainment and more. Activities start at 7:00pm, followed by each movie screening before dusk. [MOVIES ON MEMORIAL]
