With the huge snowfall, the city has declared a temporary Snow Route Parking Ban in effect tonight at midnight (Thursday, November 28 at 12:00 a.m.). This is a Declared parking ban and will be lifted once cleanup is complete – however the City’s Annual Snow Route Parking Ban comes into effect on Sunday, December 1, 2013.

This ban prohibits parking on any Snow Route between the hours of 12:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. while in effect. Vehicles parked in violation of the Declared Snow Route Parking Ban will receive a $100 ticket and may be towed to the towing company’s compound. The ban will be in place until snow clearing is completed and the public will be notified when the Declared Snow Route Parking Ban is lifted.

Approximately 300 pieces of heavy equipment will be used for this snow clearing operation so motorists are reminded to drive to road conditions and to use extreme caution when driving near any snow clearing equipment or sanding trucks.
