WestJet Finally Releases App for iPhone

When WestJet released its App for Android back in November 2013, iPhone users were left in the dark. But fear not loyal Apple fans, WestJet has finally launched its highly anticipated App for iPhone. The iPhone App includes everything in the Android version plus a few extras. The best feature is Passbook support, which lets you store a digital version of tickets on your iPhone.

“The WestJet iPhone app is another step forward in continuously improving overall guest experience,” said Marshall Wilmot, WestJet Vice-President, Product and Distribution. “We know guests have been asking for an iOS option for some time. The WestJet iPhone app, the result of a strong collaboration between users and development experts, delivers functionality and features relevant to every traveller. In essence, the app has been designed by the people who will use it the most – our valued guests – to make flying with WestJet easier and more convenient.”

Features:

Book a trip
Decide where you want to go and easily book your next flight with the tap of a finger. It’s that easy.

View trips (iPhone Only)
Once you’ve booked your next flight, you can add it to your home view. Keep a list of the great places you’ve been and view the real-time countdown for your next getaway.

Check in
Skip the line and be the first to check in to your flight. Check in up to 24 hours before departure and you don’t even have to be at the airport.

Passbook (iPhone Only)
Boarding your flight has never been easier. All you have to do is open Passbook on your iPhone. It’ll make fumbling around for your boarding pass a thing of the past.

Flight status
Heading to the arrivals lane or departures drop off? Our flight status tool can help you plan your trip ahead of time. Real-time updates let you know if flights are running early, delayed or cancelled.
