Winnipegger Erfan Nasajpour will play in the FIBA Basketball World Cup in Spain on August 30, 2014.
He’ll be playing for the Iranian national basketball team. Erfan played for the University of Winnipeg on a basketball scholarship. He is now on his fifth season on Iran’s basketball league.
Iran has been placed in Group A in the international tournament. Their first match will be against Pau Gasol and the home team Spain.
