Canada Post Issues 72-Hour Lockout Notice, Service Could Stop as Early as Friday

Canada Post has issued a 72-hour lockout notice to its employees after negotiations continue to be unsuccessful.

The crown corporation has rejecting the latest offer from the Canadian Union of Postal Workers saying it was ‘extremely disappointed’ and the proposal would add at least $1-billion in new costs.

If nothing is ratified, then mail service across Canada will stop by Friday.

If you need to connect with the City of Winnipeg during a service disruption, here are your options.

There are also various other parcel options such as UPS, FedEx and Purolator.
