11 Winnipeg Community Centres Getting Renovation Grants

11 Winnipeg Community Centres Getting Renovation Grants

The City of Winnipeg has awarded renovation grants to 11 City-owned community centres.

The renovations will total $506,238. Since the inception, the program has provided $4,666,329 worth of renovations to 118 different community centres across the city.


The community centres receiving grants are:

  • Assiniboia West Recreation
  • Chalmers
  • Deer Lodge
  • Glenwood
  • Lord Roberts
  • Melrose Park
  • Notre Dame
  • South Winnipeg
  • Tyndall Park
  • Valour
  • Woodhaven Park

“The importance of community centres to our communities go far beyond their role as physical meeting places for sports and events in our communities,“ said Mayor Brian Bowman. “These meeting places allows us to connect with our fellow community members and build the pride in what makes us Winnipeggers. That’s why I’m proud the City of Winnipeg is continuing to support important improvements and upgrades to these spaces so we can continue to keep our communities connected.”
