Winnipeg Jets Street Party for Every Home Playoff Game!

Economic Development Winnipeg is hosting a street party during every Winnipeg Jets home playoff game!


The free party has been dubbed Winnipeg Whiteout Street Party and it will take place on Donald Street, between Portage and Graham – right next to Bell MTS Place.

It will give fans a place to cheer on the Jets during their 2018 playoff run. The game will be broadcast on two large viewing screens. Food and beverages will be available for purchase on-site. The festivities start at 4:30pm.

    Attendance is free!
  • Will we be able to watch the game live?
    Yes! The Street Party will have two screens to watch the game live – one at each end of the venue. You won’t miss a single second of the action.
  • Are there washrooms available onsite?
    Yes.
  • Can I bring a lawn chair?
    Yes! You will have to bring your own chairs if you want to sit, and there will be lots of standing room.
  • Can I bring my own food or drinks into the Street Party?
    Outside food and drinks will not be permitted – but there are some great food trucks and beverage options inside the venue for purchase.
  • Will I be allowed to smoke?
    The Street Party site is a non-smoking venue.
  • Will food be available for purchase?
    Yes. There will be some food trucks at the Street Party so you can grab a bite before and during the game.
  • Will alcoholic beverages be available for purchase?
    Yes.
  • Are pets allowed?
    Pets are not allowed. Please keep your furry friend at home (guidance animals are permitted on-site).
  • Will there be an accessible drop-off point if I have mobility impairments?
    Yes. A drop-off point for accessible parking will be available in the loading zone in front of the Radisson Hotel (288 Portage Avenue) during the Street Party. There will be clearly marked signage during these times.
  • Will there be security onsite?
    Yes. Winnipeg Police Service, True North Sports & Entertainment, and the Downtown BIZ will be providing security.
  • ​How will the party affect traffic downtown?
    There will be some street closures and Transit reroutes around BellMTS Place. Details can be found here. It’s a good idea to allow extra time to get around downtown. Winnipeg Transit has more information on affected routes. Download and use the Waze app for real-time traffic and incident updates as well as traffic re-route options.
  • Anything else I need to know?
    Dress for the weather. Fans are encouraged to wear white for every game!

Street Closures:



Southbound Donald Street between Portage Avenue and Graham Avenue will be completely closed. The Donald Street entrance to the Millennium Library Parkade will not be accessible from 12:00pm on Wednesday, April 11 until 1:00am on Thursday, April 12. All vehicles will need to enter through the Smith Street entrance. The Donald Street exit will be open.

Winnipeg Transit buses will be rerouted off of Graham Avenue from Carlton Street to Smith Street on Wednesday, April 11.

Bus Stops along Graham Avenue eastbound between Hargrave Street and Smith Street will be temporarily relocated to northbound Smith Street at Graham Avenue. Bus stops along westbound Graham Avenue between Smith Street and Edmonton Street will be temporarily relocated to St. Mary Avenue at Hargrave Street and to Edmonton Street at Graham Avenue.
