Starbucks has announced that it will be closing 300 stores in Canada by the end of March 2021.

A full list of stores have not been released, however, we do expect a few Winnipeg stores will be part of the closure.

The original plan was released in 2020 which was to close up to 200 of its locations in Canada over two years. However, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, they’ve moved up the time frame to end of March 2021 and expanded the list to 300.

The restructuring will add new drive-thru locations, the expansion of delivery and a pilot of curbside pickup-only coffee shops.
