Winnipeg Restaurants Closed in 2020 for Health Code Violations

Manitoba Health has once again published its Health Protection Report that lists closures, violations and infractions during 2020.

Though most restaurants were closed for dine in due to COVID-19, Manitoba Health continued to ensure proper and safe food handling for pick up and delivery orders.


2020 also saw an influx of home-based food businesses. A reminder that you must have a permit to operate a food handling establishment. A lot of these business were closed due to the lack of a permit.

Most restaurants or food establishments have since addressed the violations and re-opened.
