DESCRIPTION:From September 26 – 28\, 2014\, Manitobans will be able to embark on a 3-day long celebration of all arts and culture groups. \nCulture Days will have dozens of family-friendly events that will showcase the province’s vibrant arts and culture communities. \nIn 2013\, the fourth annual Culture Days event took place in more than 800 Canadian cities and towns\, with attendance topping 1.7 million Canadians.  \nThe event will feature free\, hands-on\, interactive activities that invite the public to participate “behind the scenes”—and to discover the world of artists\, creators\, historians\, architects\, curators\, and designers at work in their community. \nAs a grassroots\, collaborative movement\, Culture Days relies on your participation. Whether as an arts or cultural organization\, an artist\, a municipality\, a school\, a citizen\, a business person… everyone can play a role in shaping this event.

DESCRIPTION:Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet is pleased to present Dance Downtown on Sunday\, September 28\, 2014\, a free public open house being held as part of the national Culture Days 2014 weekend. \nActivities featuring free half hour introductory classes in Ballet\, Creative Movement\, Hip Hop\, Spanish\, Ukrainian and Aboriginal Dance will all take place between 1:00-4:00pm. Creative movement classes are open for ages 3-5 years old and all other classes are for ages 6 through adult! \nAdditional activities include costume and shoe try on\, colouring\, face painting and two movie screenings in the newly renovated Founders Studio. \nStreet and lot parking are available in the immediate area\, and regular Sunday bus service will stop directly at the event.
