DESCRIPTION:Hip-hop legend Nas will be at MTS Centre on Thursday\, September 3\, 2015 for YWG LOVES HIP HOP\, which will be Winnipeg’s Largest Hip Hop Show of the year. \nSpecial guests include Travis Scott and Tink. Local Winnipeg artists The Lytics & DJ DLO will open the show.  \n\n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNas’ musical career began in 1991 when he was featured on Main Source’s track “Live at the Barbeque”. His debut album Illmatic\, released in 1994\, received universal acclaim from both critics and the hip hop community; it is frequently ranked as one of the greatest hip hop albums of all time. He did Illmatic’s “N.Y. State of Mind” in one take. \nJacques Webster\, better known by his stage name Travis Scott\, is an American hip hop recording artist and record producer from Houston\, Texas and will be joining Nas in WPG in Sept. The 22-year-old rapper/producer has been making noise on the viral tip but after receiving co-signs from T.I.\, Kanye West and appearing on G.O.O.D. Music’s Cruel Summer expect this name to ring bells into the new year. Though he’s only released but a few tracks (“16 Chapels\,” “XX\,” “Animal\,” “Up”\, “Old English” and “Blocka La Flame”)\, Travis Scott has managed to generate a viral buzz strong enough to see his star begin to gleam in 2012. \nAccompanying Nas and Travis Scott is American rapper and singer-songwriter\, Tink. Already known through her five successful mixtapes\, Tink is expected to release her first studio album this year through Mosley Music Group label. Tink’s 2014 mixtape Winter’s Diary 2: Forever Yours\, was featured as a top 10 R&B album in both Billboard and Rolling Stone magazine. Tink’s debut album Think Tink is due this year featuring production from super producer Timbaland and a collaboration with Missy Elliott. Her brand new single Million which samples the late Aaliyah’s One in a Million is currently rocketing up the charts. \nTickets range from $60.00 – $103.25 and go on-sale Friday\, July 24 at 10:00am.
