Kaitlyn Lawes of Winnipeg Wins Gold in Mixed Doubles Curling at PyeongChang Olympics

Winnipegger Kaitlyn Lawes and Alberta’s John Morris has made Olympic history! They defeated Switzerland 10-3 to win the Olympics first Gold Medal in mixed doubles curling.

Kaitlyn curls out of St. Vital Curling Club. This is her second Gold medal. She won Gold at the 2014 Sochi games with Team Jennifer Jones in the traditional Women’s Curling competition.

John Morris curls out of the The Glencoe Club in Calgary. This is also his second Gold medal. He won Gold at the 2010 Vancouver games with Team Martin.
