The renovation of the Fort Garry Bridge will begin next week. The city is recommending that motorists try to and avoid anything in or around this area for the next year – and no.. its not a typo this time, I said “year”! Construction is expect to last until 2009. The $20 million project is expected to cause major traffic delays on Bishop Grandin. If this is your regular route, you have probably already seen the construction of the various detours for the project.
The city is expected to release more details regrading alternate routes around the construction zone.
