University of Winnipeg will be banning bottled water. The ban will be phased over the next few months. Nearly 3/4 of the students voted for the ban.
This ban will help line students pockets by encouraging student to drink free water along with help reduce waste.
I’m 100% for drinking tap water, but I don’t quite get why we are banning bottled water. Why aren’t we banning pop? Not only is it terrible for you it’s also adding to the waste issue. Also what if you forget your water bottle? You have to drink the fake surgery “fruit” juices or pop? Why don’t we keep selling it but just raise the prices to force people to remember their water bottles, but for emergency cases it’s still available?
What are your thoughts on this?
