All hail Mr. Lyrical… the Young Money running back is coming to the Centennial Concert Hall on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 – just as well all speculated last week. Be sure to book the next day off work, becuase it’s going to be a crazy concert and after party.
Drake, a Canadian from Toronto, ON, made his way on to the music scene release various mix tapes to the streets of Toronto. Those mix tapes eventually caught the attention of every record label in North America who wanted to sign the young artist. Eventually, Drake would stay true to Lil’ Wayne and Young Money, the first record label to believe in him. Drake’s mixtape album, So Far Gone (which included the hit Best I Ever Had), was his key to fame. You may also remember him for his roll as Jimmy from the Canadian TV show Degrassi.
He is one of the biggest artist in the world right now. His music is has been taking over the air waves, he’s performed at the Grammy’s, he’s won Juno’s… all this without even releasing an album. His debut album, Thank Me Later, drops June 15, 2010.
