NBA Jam Session begins it’s cross Canada tour in August and stops in Winnipeg from August 13 – 14, 2011.
This years event is once again at The Forks and is filled with free activities for all ages. The session runs for two days.
Saturday, NBA fans can come to participate in various free events. There are also tons of giveaways and prizes throughout the day.
Sunday, is the famous 3on3 tournament which many of you will remember as Hoop It Up. The tournament now only runs for a single day, and teams are limited.
The NBA has introduced a ‘draft’ system this year where teams are drafted to participate in the tournament. Due to limited team spots, a random draft lottery will take place. If your team is selected, the credit card will be charged immediately and you will receive an email notification. If leagues do not fill to capacity by 9AM on July 7th, they will be filled on a first-paid, first-served basis beginning at 8AM on July 11th.
Registration begins July 6, 2011 at 9am.
This event usually features special appearances, no news yet on who is appearing this year, but don’t expect any Kobe’s or LeBrons.
