Grant Thornton Limited, the Receiver of Blockbuster Canada Co., has received authorization to close all remaining 253 Blockbuster Canada retail stores.
As part of the closure, Blockbuster will have a final clearance sale for its entire inventory which includes movies, games, consoles, and concessions. The clearance sales are scheduled to commence on September 9, 2011.
Winnipeg has 6 remaining Blockbuster locations:
– 850 Regent Ave.
– 1325 Henderson Hwy.
– 26 Lakewood Blvd
– 1074 St. Mary’s Rd.
– 843 Leila Ave.
– 2145 Portage Ave.
Expect these sales to be a lot bigger than the last store closing sales. There are no more locations for the remaining inventory, so everything must go!
