If you haven’t heard (or been under a rock) – HD-DVD is dead! Toshiba officially announced the discontinuation of hd-dvd production and has bowed down to sony and blu-ray’s dominance.
So what to do with your hd-dvd player now?
From March 7th to April 3rd, bring your old hd-dvd player into futureshop and get $100 store credit towards an LG or Samsung Blu-ray / HD DVD Combo player.
(*) The catch? The store credit must be used towards a hd-dvd/bluray combo player. So no – you can’t use it towards a ps3 or standalone bluray player. So you are limited to $100 off either an LG or Samsung Blu-ray / HD DVD Combo player.
The HD-DVD player must be in working condition but does NOT have to have a receipt or be originally purchased from futureshop.
Returned HD DVD Players will be donated to Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada for use in their after-school and evening programs.
