Video Games Live is something I personally have always wanted to experience since I found out they played Metal Gear Solid songs. Finally, Video Games Live comes to Winnipeg on June 5th, 2008.
Let’s be realistic. You don’t have to like video games to enjoy the music. With the resources invested in todays generation (or even last generation) of gaming music, anyone who loves movie quality, powerful pieces would easily enjoy orchestrated versions of Metal Gear or Castlevania’s recurring themes. Doubting if you’ll like this? Remember when you cried to Bruce Willis pushing Ben Affleck back into the lift at the end of Armageddon? Remember the epic battle in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe? What about Ed Harris spilling his guts about one day becoming patriots through being branded as traitors in The Rock? Well, Harry Gregson-Williams helped those emotions flow out of you with his musical touch. He’s also the man to thank for the powerful Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3’s main theme.
