This past weekend was the Fifth Annual Doors Open. Saturday was a beautiful day and it was great seeing people out and about downtown.
I only made it out to the Bank of Montreal, City of Winnipeg Archives and the White House.
The Bank of Montreal is pretty amazing especially the vault in the basement. An employee leaked some information about a billiard room on the second floor, only for the guides to deny access. The Archives building look awesome from the outside, but it didn’t feel very historic in the inside. The White House tour was really only an advertising ploy by the new owner to sell his adult entertainment services along with his spa, however the building is amazing.
This event was not only showing old Winnipeg, but new as well with buildings such as the MTS Centre and the new Red River College. I can’t imagine a better event for people to experience Winnipeg. I can’t wait for next year!
