Police arrested an 18-year-old and 19-year-old man for selling fake IDs to their friends and others for between $50 and $100 each.
A hotel chain in Transcona last week caught a few minors with these fake licenses what it was ran through a ultraviolet ID scanner. The ID’s were reported to MPI which in turn passed it along to the commercial crime unit.
About 50 of the licenses have been seized, but police say some are still being used. This marks the first time an arrest has been made for creating fake licenses since the new ones were introduced in September 2006.
Perhaps some people missed the memo… Girlicious has an ALL AGES event AND a 18+ event! No need for a FAKE-ID!
