If you park in the downtown area then expect to pay a bit more than what you usually do – up to 40% more! The west lot by the MTS Centre currently costs $115/month, the rate is expect to jump up to $165/month. Three city place parking lots will also be affected.
Impark’s reasoning for the sudden hike in price is that they have been charging ‘too little’ and that their current prices are well below the ‘market cost’. Supply and demand was also part of their reasoning, and I suspect that the new Hydro building, Blush Ultraclub and bigger names coming to the MTS Centre have something to do with it.
