Operation Originally uploaded by AccessWinnipeg
Christmas is a time of giving, so if you feel like giving a helping hand, reach no further than an old shoe box. Operation Christmas Child is a charity that is run by Samaritan’s Purse ( a christian charity).
How to donate….
- Pick up a Samaritan’s Purse shoe box from any Safeway Store or use any shoe box from home (Standard size please ).
- Pick a gender and and age group and label the shoe box with your choice.
- Fill it up with goodies for a child (e.x. Toys, School Supplies, Hygiene Items, Candy, and if you want a Personal Note.). *Check the website for restrictions*
- Add an envolope containing $7 for shipping.
- Place a rubber band around the box to keep it secure.
- Drop it off at any Safeway location in Winnipeg.
The shoe box is then delivered to little kids who are in need and that are in difficult situations all over the world. So if you want to put a smile on the face of a less fortunate child remember, your only a shoe box away!
*National Collection Week for the boxes is November 24th 2008 – November 29th 2008*
