Yesterday (March 21, 2010) Teemu Selanne, who started his career with the Winnipeg Jets when he was picked 10th overall in the 1988 NHL Entry Draft, scored his 600th career NHL goal against the Colorado Avalanche.
The goal puts him 1 goal behind Jari Kurri’s Finnish record of 601. He is only the 18th NHL player in history to do so and joins Luc Robitaille and Mario Lemieux as the only Calder Trophy winners to score 600 goals.
