Wal-Mart Canada has made an application to the City of Winnipeg to expand the Regent Ave. Wal-mart location into a Supercentre.
The closest Supercentre we have now is in Grand Forks, ND. If you’ve never been, its probably 2 times the size of the Wal-marts we have now and include a full line of groceries instead of the few isles that are in the current Winnipeg locations.
The proposal includes expanding the Regent location by 30,000 square feet and adding 2 main entrances.
Regina recently got one of these, and if Regina can have one… we definitely should as well!
