Today (April 22, 2010) is the 40th annual Earth Day. Earth Day is a day designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth’s environment. It was founded by U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson as an environmental teach-in held on April 22, 1970.
Don’t forget about some of the awesome deals this Earth Day. There are many many ways you can help the environment… but the best way is to go back the basics and always remember the Three R’s. Recycle, Reduce, and Reuse.
Recycle: stick recyclable waste into those blue bins whenever you can. Blue bins can be found almost anywhere.
Reduce: minimize the use of anything that can harm the environment. ie. carpool to work, or ride a bike.
Reuse: instead of throw out grocery bags, reuse them for your next visit.
