The Asian Canadian Festival will be held at the Forks again this year in celebration of Asian Heritage month. The festival will be held on May 23rd 1pm – 10pm and continue May 24th 1pm – 5pm.
Traditional and contemporary music and dance as well as martial arts and tai chi will be performed. Asian cooking demonstrations will also be held in the afternoons on both days.
There will also be a drumming festival which will be held Sunday evening from 7pm – 10pm, with performers from the Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Indian and Filipino communities. Guest artists from the Caribbean and Aboriginal communities will also perform.
ALSO, on Sunday evening following the festival at 10pm, FIREWORKS will be provided by The Forks depending on the weather.Â
