Rumours have been swirling around for weeks that Canadian rapper Drake will be making an appearance in Winnipeg… on Monday, those rumours might be finally confirmed!
Stephen Hua (owner of Republic Nightclub) will be on the Ace Burpee Show this Monday. May 17, 2010 at 8:00am for a “huge” concert announcement. The crowd at Republic Nightclub was teased a few weeks ago with the possibility of Drake coming to Winnipeg. Since then, nothing has been confirmed but it’s believed that Stephen’s announcement on Monday will be the Canadian superstar coming to Winnipeg.
Drake’s one of the biggest artists in the world right now and this would definitely be the event of the summer. All the stars are lined up… artists often do a tour when an album is released. Drakes debut album Thank Me Later is slated to be released June 15, 2010.
The rumour is that the concert will be on Thursday, July 22, 2010. Make sure to tune in to the Ace Burpee Show (Hot 103) on Monday morning to find out.
