Get out those rods and fuel up your boats… fishing season finally arrives to Southern Manitoba on Saturday, May 15, 2010.
A conservation license (which is what most people want) will cost $13.94 including GST. Regular fishing licenses are $19.83 including GST.
June 12 – 13, 2010 is Family Fishing weekend and allows everyone to fish for free without a license.
Some General Rules:
* Youths less than 16 year of age do not require a licence
* Seniors aged 65 or over who have resided in Manitoba for 6 months prior to the licence issue date must obtain a seniors conservation licence at no charge. To keep a regular limit of fish, a regular angling licence is required
* Native people do not require a licence
* Non-Resident people are defined as individuals who do not reside in Canada
