The city is in talks to allow smart cars to park perpendicular in parallel-parked areas. This makes sense, as the length of some smart cars is about the same size as the actual width of the car that is parked parallel. This would only apply to smart cars.
This change would allow approximately 4 vehicles to fit instead of 2. The drivers’ exam would be a lot easier if you could take a smart car and just drive “into” the parallel parking spot. So if you’re a bit rusty on parallel parking, think about buying yourself a smart car.
